W. Richard Anderson

Mr. W. Richard Anderson has served as a director of FREYR since 2024.

Mr. Anderson is the CEO of Coastline Exploration Limited (formerly, SOMA Oil and Gas), a private company that recently acquired 21,000 line kilometers of 2-D seismic data imaging all of the deep waters of offshore Somalia. Anderson was previously the CFO of Eurasia Drilling Company Limited (LON: EDC), the largest oil and gas drilling company in Russia. From 1998-2007, Anderson held the role of CFO and then later President and CEO of Prime Natural Resources, Inc. an independent oil and gas exploration and production company that was active in the U.S., South America, and Kurdistan. Prior to Prime Natural Resources, Anderson held tax and accounting roles at Hein + Associates LLP, Amax, Inc, and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Since 1994, Anderson has served on the board of several public and private companies, where he has helped to support IPOs and debt issuances, reorganizations, successful trade sales, pay outs of special dividends, and more.

Anderson is a graduate of the University of Colorado and holds a master’s in taxation degree from the University of Denver. He is an active member of the AICPA, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
